Autumn Colors at Beaver Creek, Arizona

These pictures were taken on a beautiful November day at Beaver Creek, a small oasis in the middle of the Arizona desert.

This small spot of only a few square meters was a unique invitation to play with different camera settings (depth of field, exposure time and focus point) to capture the interesting multi-layeredness of 5 visual levels.

• On the water level the stones and floating leaves.
• Reflected in the water are the wonderful colours of the still hanging leaves, framed by the steel blue Arizona sky.
• Under the water soaked leaves and the bottom of the stream.
• Branches hanging above the water .
• And on top of that you can also discover the shadows of the trees and branches on the water surface.

What a richness of perception. What a mixture of direct and mirrored views.
